The CIHA Resident Survey is a collection of survey questions available to adult residents (18+) at most CIHA rental properties. The survey allows residents to provide direct feedback about their living experience, which CIHA will use to help inform resident services programming, partnerships, and future building and apartment designs. The 2024 CIHA Resident Survey will begin July 1^st and end on August 13^th.  The survey is completely voluntary and anonymous. Your participation in the survey will not impact your housing status in any way.

CIHA is interested in listening to and learning from you about your experience as a CIHA resident. Your participation in this survey will help guide partnerships, provide feedback to help guide future building and apartment designs, and uncover opportunities for us to improve.

If the situation is not an emergency, but requires prompt attention, you should contact your Community Director, during regular business hours, by phone or email to report the issue and begin a work order.

If you experience an urgent maintenance emergency, that requires immediate attention outside of regular business hours, you should call the CIHA after-hours emergency maintenance hotline at (907) 793-3751.

If you do not see your property listed in any of the communities above, we may not be surveying your property at this time. Yes, you may request and fill out a print survey instead of the online survey. You may also print a copy from your community's survey landing page (listed above). Contact your Resident Services Coordinator or email survey@cookinlethousing.org for questions.

Yes, online and print surveys will be available in English, Spanish, Korean, Hmong, Samoan, Russian, and Ukrainian both online and in print. To request one of the print/paper translated surveys, please contact your Resident Services Coordinator or email survey@cookinlethousing.org.

If you have completed a print/paper survey you may return it to your Resident Services Coordinator or at some (but not all) locations, there will be a survey return box available. Resident Services Coordinators are the main point of contact for any on-site survey collection assistance.

Yes. When you complete your survey online and submit it, you will then be asked for your name and contact information in order to enter you into the raffle prize drawing for the $50 VISA gift cards, but the information is not connected to your survey. If you fill out and turn in a paper survey, you may opt to submit a raffle entry page, but it is not physically connected to your survey (which will be secured in an envelope when your return it). Your survey answers will be recorded electronically by a survey team member who does not work for Housing Services, and your name and contact information will be entered separately for the raffle drawing.

The 2024 CIHA Resident Survey begins on July 1, 2024, and surveys will be collected through August 13, 2024, at 5:00pm.

After the survey period ends on August 13th, CIHA staff will compile all the data into a centralized database. As with all CIHA data, the survey database is subject to CIHA data security protocols to keep it safe.

The team will then spend time on analysis and data visualization to create reports. These reports will help staff set goals and address opportunities. Report findings with be shared with residents in newsletters, emails, on the survey website page, and during in-person outreach events, when possible.  We anticipate that data uploading, data analysis, and data visualization will be completed by December 2024.
